Protest the UK's inaction on global malnutrition

On 7-8th December, the Nutrition for Growth summit took place in Tokyo, Japan. It was a critical moment to push world leaders to take action on global malnutrition, which has been rising due to conflict, climate change and the Covid-19 pandemic.

But while other governments pledged billions, the UK made no financial commitment to tackle malnutrition.

Malnutrition is the reason 2.5 million children die every year before their fifth birthday - and it causes irreversible damage to 149 million children who survive. For the UK to be stepping back now, at a time when the need has never been greater, is shocking.

Tell the Foreign Secretary that the UK must urgently commit funding to tackle malnutrition.
