Stand up for Climate Justice

Stand

What is the problem?

The climate crisis is getting worse, and it’s the world’s most vulnerable communities who are being hit the hardest. From droughts and floods to forced displacement, millions are already living with the consequences.

This year’s UN Climate Summit (COP) is taking place in Belém, Brazil. While a new global climate finance goal was agreed last year, many of the existing financial commitments from high-income countries, including the UK, are running out. Without renewed leadership, the progress made so far risks falling apart.

"For countries like Bangladesh, which have contributed minimally to global emissions yet bear the brunt of climate change, the stakes are dire. Millions are being displaced as climate migrants, forced into extreme poverty, with women and children facing heightened risks to food and nutritional security."
Manish Kumar Agrawal - Country Director, Concern Worldwide, Bangladesh
